“Certainly a case of self-defense, is what we have,” McManus said. “We would prefer that they call the police before taking that into your own hands, but he did what he felt he needed to do.”

I hate vigilantism. Should have called the cops after tracking down the vehicle. Still, you can't control how other people react. And you definitely shouldn't be shooting people, especially after stealing their shyt.

It's fukking Texas. I hate this kind of justification. Even though he was right to defend himself, we still shouldn't try to justify vigilante justice.

vigilante justice is kind of a stretch :patrice:

it's his property that he recovered in another area of the mall parking lot. he was waiting for the cops to arrive and the thief was reportedly unscathed until he pulled out a gun.:manny:

“The victim was my brother and there are two sides to every story," Jose Garcia told KENS 5 on the scene. “Whether my brother was wrong or right, he had a gun pointed at him. I guess he took it upon himself to defend himself. The guy who shot him is a vigilante, not a hero. A vehicle is not worth taking someone's life, I don't care what kind of car it is. You don’t take the law into your own hands. Now my mom, my family, we all have to suffer and just deal with it.”

BUT WHY WAS YOUR BROTHER CLEARLY IN A CAR THAT WAS NOT HIS!!!????:jbhmm::patrice:AND THEN WHEN ORDERED OUT OF THE CAR SHOT AT SOMEONE???

Yea. If the car owner died she is legally a murderer just by being in the car with that shytbag. Hope she learned a lesson. Why we coddling folks committing felonies now?
Shoot in florida commit a crime with a person and if that person dies the other criminal gets charged with murder also..

Possible she had no idea it was stolen. Could be some thot he picked up from her crib

Not really. It fits the definition. First, I don't feel bad for the thief since he was the one who opened fire first. Second, there was no need to approach the vehicle and attempt to apprehend the suspects with the cops being on the way.

A shopper noticed his vehicle was missing early Thursday afternoon, so he tracked it to another side of South Park Mall, officials with the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) said.

Police say two people were inside the stolen vehicle: a man in the driver's seat and a woman in the passengers seat. The owner attempted to order the suspected thieves out at gunpoint.
