That was your mother and her household. In my household, my daughter had diamond 1/2 carat studs at age 3, she had a small gold chain with a double dolphin pendant (was her favorite animal at the time) at age 5. What we did for our daughter is not unique either, I have seen plenty of young girls with small jewelry (inexpensive though, so less than $300).Bruh, when i was in kindergarten, my mom wouldn't even let me sneak toys to school because it was almost guaranteed I'd lose them. My sister didn't even wear earrings because it woulda been a miracle to come back with 1 if she came back with any at all. No telling how much shyt kids lose at recess. I lost a necklace my grandma gave me at PE and never wore jewelry again til I got to high school, but that's just me. The teacher was wrong but I can't honestly trust a kindergarten kid to keep up with stuff. Again, I'm talking about kindergarten kids, maybe 5 or 6 yr Olds, not even middle schoolers.
I wouldn't have my kids walking around jewelry or any other expensive valuables for their own safety. Not to excuse the teacher, but why is a kindergartener wearing jewelry that is pawnable in the 1st place.
This was the exact thought process of the teacher that stole the jewelry. You robbing kids bruh?

The true concern about the whole situation is not whether parents allowed their children to wear jewelry, it is that there was a teacher taking it from children and pawning it in stores.
I was waiting for this comment. 2015 Coli this would have been 3/4 of the responsesNot to excuse the teacher, but why is a kindergartener wearing jewelry that is pawnable in the 1st place.
SAN ANTONIO – A former day care worker was arrested Wednesday after San Antonio police tracked down jewelry stolen from young children in a pawn shop.
Virginia Vela Torres, 45, was taken into custody after police began receiving reports from parents of a South Side day care facility about jewelry that was stolen from their children, according to public information officer Jennifer Rodriguez.
Police believe Torres stole bracelets from a three-year-old child and two four-year-old children. Officers were able to find the charm bracelets in a pawn shop.
The day care facility is fully cooperating with police and has since fired Torres, Rodriguez said.
Police arrested Torres on three counts of theft of a person. She stayed silent as police took her into custody on Wednesday.
You are excusing the the teachers actions by questioning why a child had jewelry in the first place. That is immaterial to the situation. Also, children receive jewelry from their parents, especially girls, at very young ages. So a child having a piece of jewelry is not something rare, well at least in my experience.
