You are excusing the the teachers actions by questioning why a child had jewelry in the first place. That is immaterial to the situation. Also, children receive jewelry from their parents, especially girls, at very young ages. So a child having a piece of jewelry is not something rare, well at least in my experience.

Bruh, when i was in kindergarten, my mom wouldn't even let me sneak toys to school because it was almost guaranteed I'd lose them. My sister didn't even wear earrings because it woulda been a miracle to come back with 1 if she came back with any at all. No telling how much shyt kids lose at recess. I lost a necklace my grandma gave me at PE and never wore jewelry again til I got to high school, but that's just me. The teacher was wrong but I can't honestly trust a kindergarten kid to keep up with stuff. Again, I'm talking about kindergarten kids, maybe 5 or 6 yr Olds, not even middle schoolers.
