No Whammies!!
Aku's new voice is clearly noticeable. Damn.

RIP.

Aku in the opening seemed a little "off". Not just the voice, but also the animation.
-The parallels with the wolf, fork in the road, both Jack and the Wolf choose a deadly path. Jack's fork in the road leads to danger but he uses the tuning fork weapon from the last episode to escape that danger!

This is such a great show. The writing, animation, directing, voice acting, soundtrack all top notch stuff.

Never made the connection between the forked sword and the fork in the road :ohhh:.
Loved the cut from the tiger creature swinging its tail at the wolf and the Daughters of Aku swinging that chain at Jack. I don't think I've ever seen that kind of parallelism on TV before. Closer to poetry than TV or movies.

Rewatched the episode. The last 10 min really felt like Jack was in Friday the 13th fighting 7 Jasons :lupe:.

Something else I picked up on is that when Jack used the Tuning Fork Sword, he didn't decide to jump until the very last possible second...like he was thinking of just blowing himself up. Another example of the "Forks in the Road" theme of this episode.

The music and setting of the circular tomb room kind of reminded me of this:

This must have been an intentional reference.

Damn I knew that music sounded so familiar that was a dope homage.
