I remember watching Jack when I was 10 years old. Good times. Remember even playing the first game on cartoon network.com. 2000-06 were the golden age of CN.

Great first episode. The Robo Sammy Davis Shogun was very much in line with the kinds of enemies Jack has seen before. So was the blue mother-daughter pair Jack rescued. However, the visions of the dead, birth of the assassins and the assassins killing their trainers set the tone for darker things than we've ever seen on this show. I'm loving it.

He reminded me of Tommy Davidson impersonating Sammy with a little Varnell Hill.Great episode, the art is on point and the story with the daughters of Aku has a lot of potential.

Also, I'm noticing a lot of homages in this marathon. Shogun assassin and the shining homages were particularly dope.

When Jack threw the exploding dagger at him, I expected that it would knock one of his eyes out.
After the show ended, I was thinking that their "Mother" might be Aku, in Female form, and that they would imply that Jack slept with her:
