The year 3030
Went to the ATT store yesterday and was explicitly told they will be restocking next week and all I have to do is bring in my phone...

No box or accessories necessary and they're giving me $25 credit...

Nice. Been calling my local ATT and buggin'em about when shyt gonna come in (nothing yet)...they mentioned just bringing in the phone..but that 25 sounds nice..hope my spot does that too.

SAN FRANCISCO — Samsung's combustible Galaxy Note 7 problem just got worse.

Shares of the electronics giant dropped 7% Monday in Korean trading — wiping out $14.3 billion in market value and extending a slide that have taken shares down 10% this month —
as reports of damage from exploding batteries in the smartphone circulated, prompting Samsung officials to urge Note 7 users to turn off their devices and return them.

The reports point to a deepening problem for the Note 7, beyond the 35 instances of faulty rechargeable lithium batteries Samsung initially disclosed when it halted sales and announced a voluntary recall in early September. At the time, it had sold 2.5 million of the devices.

"There is no way to recover this version of the phone. ... Samsung has a huge black eye," says tech analyst Rob Enderle of the Enderle Group. He thinks Samsung might be forced to "kill" the Note 7, and skip to the next version, Note 8.

Samsung's third-quarter results could take a hit of up to $900 million because of the recall, Myung Sub Song, an analyst at HI Investment & Securities, told CNBC. He and other analysts expect shipments of the critically and commercially acclaimed 5.7-inch, pen-based phablet to top 6 million in the third and fourth quarters, down from earlier estimates of 12 million to 15 million.

:ohhh: and I just spoke to a nikka at the Sprint store earlier this evening and he told me that the new N7s would be in on Monday and that i should get there early. I'd like to keep the n7 but every time i turn around the news gets worse. Might just cop a S7 and call it a day. Or maybe i can get hold of the N5 somehow.

Lol....once the replacements start rolling...all the gloom and doom talk wont last. Samsung isnt going anywhere. U know better.
This whole thing is a shyt show. Samsung says one thing the carriers and retail partners say another. Some people can get loaner phones and others can't. There's no consistency to any of this. It's gonna be a nightmare when the new Notes come out and many of these people who thought they got loaners find out they're stuck with a phone they didn't want because they're outside the 14 day window at most places and the phone really wasn't a loaner.

Lucky for me I don't need a loaner. Because I keep an Apple device and a Samsung device typically so I just went back to the 6s. I feel bad for the people who that was their only phone and now they're into some weird limbo situation with a phone they didn't want now with no real idea if they can get another Note or not.

JUST GOT BACK IN...you were WRONG. I walked right into T Mobile after my discussion with Tmobile.com customer service and they traded my Note 7 for the S7 Edge without thinking twice and telling me that the new Note 7s will probably be in next week and just trade it out for the New Note 7..just like that. Not no "J phone" or any of that gay shyt. I don't play limits or anything like that. I had the white girl get it dollied up and then put the white boy to work at T mobile. Took awhile because he didn't know the process from an online sale but it worked out and I got this gold S7 Edge to hold me over until they get this $hit the way it should be. #GKNL #NEVERLimited

What's going to happen is this; Samsung and the CPSC will announce an official recall. When they announce that official recall the step they take to remedy the problem will also be announced. Samsung the maker of the phone has said they are working with the CPSC on this.

Samsung Galaxy Note7 Users Urged to Turn Off Phones
"CPSC is working quickly to determine whether a replacement Galaxy Note7 is an acceptable remedy for Samsung or their phone carriers to provide to consumers," the agency said.

That doesn't sound like they've even approved Samsung actually even providing replacement phones at all. By their own words that has yet to be determined. So while some guy that works at a store says we'll have them Monday the federal government hasn't even officially announced the recall all they've said is turn off the phone and stop using it and we're looking into this.

I was wrong? I just posted what Samsung said.
Galaxy Note7 Exchange Program
Exchange your current Galaxy Note7 device with a new Galaxy Note7 (pending CPSC approval). Select carrier and retail outlets will provide customers, who prefer a replacement Note7, an exchange for a Samsung J Series or equivalent device to use until CPSC-approved Note7s are available.
