Samsung Officially Cancels the Galaxy Note 7

I didn't watch the video. But weren't there cases of the phone exploding even when it was turned off?

I'm on the fence, brehs; keep going back and forth between getting a Moto G4 off Amazon so I can keep my Sprint upgrade, or going ahead and getting the V20 when it comes out next week. I'm just shook that I might get that phone and when Samsung drops new Note piffery I won't be able to eat cause I had eaten Wendy's before going to the Brazilian steakhouse buffet.

No one is denying a number of these phones are defective...The point of the video is to find out what it takes to make one of these phones "explode"...

They had three Note7s...Ran every possible stress test under normal conditions and none of them caused the battery to fail...What he ended up doing with the lamp is not normal and would likely make any phone with a lithium battery explode...

This video cosigns Samsung claim that they're having trouble making the phones explode in the lab...Its not happening under normal conditions unless you're one of the unlucky 0.05%...

What a fukkING morning...so I ordered the Silver Edge on Sat, as you may recall. Thought it was gonna be over nighted by tomorrow. SURPRISE! Looked at my T mobile app early this morning..like 3am and it said the delivery date changed to Nov 14th. I called and they said it was backordered magically. But I remember a convo I had on Sat with one local T mobile branch having one. I canceled the online order after the confirmation of them still having one left and I personally went and picked it up. Got a clear case for 10 bucks and I still got the Note 7 to transfer a few things over via Smart Switch.

Almost screwed me but of course #GKNL prevails...

They did everything possible to make the phone explode from a stress test perspecrive and the only thing that worked was setting it directly under a lamp while running apps...

This likely explains the car fire...That fool probably left the phone charging in direct sunlight...

I felt like after a few incidents..it was probably a money scheme from most. The Apple nyggas in here laughing up acting like it's far fetch..like bytches ain't getting $hitted on in Dubai for just 5 figures.

I don't think they actually check receipt dates.

I got the Note 4..cracked screen..Works with no issues. I have no s pen. Last one broke. Are the cheap ones on Ebay good enough? I damn sure ain't paying 30 dollars for a 2014 accessory. The Ebay ones range from $5-12 dollars.

When I turn the Note 7 in, the money goes back on my card.

I question if it's a number of the phones that are defective and it may very well be that there is a design fault in the phone model that causes random explosions. You'd have to believe if it was just a defective phone it wouldn't take several weeks to a month to catch fire.

If it was a design flaw the failure rate wouldn't be 100 phones out of 2.5 million...

If it was a design flaw I highly doubt three phones could survive the stress testing in that video...I also highly doubt Samsung would have trouble making the phones "explode" in the lab...I think its pretty obvious the issue is manufacturing related and clearly doesn't affect the vast majority of the phones produced...The numbers simply do not support any other theories...

The phones hadn't been out that long. Who is to say that over the span of several months to a year more and more wouldn't have failed and caught fire in that time?

OF COURSE IT CAME WITH THE PEN Mine broke dammit. I need to make sure if I get one on Ebay, it works without any bull$hit. I need my fukking SMART SELECT..fukk that I got the S7 Edge now..but I still need those damn S Pen options. Not going almost a year without that. No way

Might try this tomorrow. One more SD card wouldn't be bad...could throw it in the Canon.
