It's not. Keyboards still exist check out the Surface with the keyboard attachment to address the typing concerns on the iPad. There's prototypes out there where the screen actually forms buttons so the user can actually touch them.

Tablets and phones are two totally different things breh

I was once all about keyboards because I have big hands. But once i mastered how to swype, I haven't looked back since. Seriously, all of you complaining about a lack of keyboards, get up on swype or any program that similiar. I don't even tap to type anymore unless its slang or some word the program doesn't recogonize.

You have to be :flabbynsick: to be praying for a keyboard.

Sound like somebody's grandparents complaining about not being able to type on a fukking 5in touch screen.

if its plastic like the s3 i cant get behind it...the new xperia seems more built to last

8 cores is cool but what in android needs that many cores? that type of processing is really needed if developers are leveraging it. with the rate these phones are dropping they never even get a chance...

It's useless to me to have to tap an input box, slide out a keyboard, and start typing on little pads when you can one hand with Swiftkey and it autocorrects with almost 100% accuracy and remembers what you've typed.

Blackberries can one hand but the screens are so small they're useless to most people in these days.

shyt kills me breh.

Once you adapt to a keyboard (of any kind) it's a wrap. I used to have the Mogul, then the Touch Pro, both had slide out keyboards. But Swype is much better for one hand typing and just faster for me. I was fast at typing on a flip phone as well.

Back when my girl got the Epic Touch she was saying, "I need a keyboard" and that's why she got it over the EVO. I was like, you're not even gonna use that shyt. And surely after a few months of getting used to Swype, she never took the flip keyboard out anymore. Now she has the GS3 and could give a fukk about a physical keyboard.

:dead: @ thinking these companies who are making phones with 5in displays are going to start making these with a slide out keyboard. What is this? 2006?
