So is that hard to maintain?
I'm not conscious of it. I try not to be conscious of it. And I don't choose roles because of it. And, sometimes, people will just attribute stuff to it. It's like Elijah [Price, Jackson's character] in "Unbreakable." You know, people say he's "cool." He's a fukking breakable nerd. And they go, "That fukking coat and your hair -- he's just cool." And I'm like, "Really?"

We're never going to see a sequel to that movie, are we?
There were supposed to be three. I don't know.

People liked "Unbreakable."
You'll have to ask the brilliant director who wrote it and didn't do the rest of them.

He moved on to "The Last Airbender."
I mean, he hasn't made a really good movie since then.

"Signs" was OK.
There's some issues. I didn't like that thing in the cornfield.

I thought it was OK.
I didn't see the Wahlberg one.

Shyamalan has made 3 good movies: Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Signs.
Everything else he has directed has been ass. That Will Smith movie will probably suck too.

Signs was the last DOPE one he did. The Village was good for the first 3/4 but the twist was unnecessary. Lady in the Water was awful and the less said about The Happening and Last Airbender the better...

I disagree, Signs is a damn fine film. I ain't even mad about the plot holes. Them aliens invaded a water filled planet because they're about that life....:birdman: :yeshrug:

I'd go as far as saying that The Village is excellent up until the second (And absolutely ridiculous) twist. Should have just kept it as a period movie.

Even if you felt these two were self-indulgent, you can't deny that at the very least, they are still visually excellent. You could watch Signs with the volume off and still follow what's going on.

:wow:

Lady in the Water was just....I don't even know what I think of it. I like the idea of an urban fantasy/fairy tale, and I like Giamatti's performance...but dude was just too up his own ass to see the obvious faults in the script. Like I said, SELF-INDULGENT! I think that a plot point in the end is that the character HE plays ends up writing a book that saves the world, or some shyt like that....:pachaha: I'm like :childplease:, nicca I understand you made it big but have some humility out here. He's a fukking terrible actor too....

The Happening....
