If Sam is getting the most props in here (and I voted for him) why is Chauncey leading the poll?

To me Sam was easily the better player, but Billups had the better career. Billups was a pure PG, one that could orchestrate an offense, and lock down on defense. Bu he couldn't shoot, really had horrible court vision, not that great of a passer..all of the reasons he was a journeyman...He just was a good leader. Cassell alien lookin mofo would just torch you, then torch you some more. His slow a$$ got to any spot he wanted and did whatever he wanted. He's the reason we lost in the finals, not Starks.

BTW Billups best statistically year was playing along side Melo, for the haters. And I don't even have to look it up

Billups had a much better peak. Leader/point man on a team with no superstars. Sam had the goat center and HOF swingman Clyde the glide and Rudy T Chauncey aint have that

Sheed was a superstar, and Rip was good for 20 wherever he played. Matter of fact, Sheed was the player that took them over the top, not Billups

All of this is disrespectful. And just untrue. Billups was great at all of that. I can tell you never really watched the nikka play. Wasn't just leadership. He was skilled, savvy, and smooth. His clutchness is overstated but he's very underrated as an overall basketball player.

Both Chauncey and Sam were great. Couple of my favorite players low-key.

I watched him play on EVERY team from C's, Tor, Denver 2x, Min...he couldn't shoot. I did say he was a great leader. He could orchestrate the offense and run a team, but he wasn't great at anything offensively. He was failing as a NBA PG and they used him as a combo on a couple of those teams. When I say court vision, I'm talking about from exceptional passing...seeing a man out the corner from the other side of the court. I think he only has 2 seasons over 7 apg. One season in Det when he was at 18 & 8, but he was good for about 14 & 5 regularly....which is pretty average for a starting PG. I still think he was a great leader. But let's be real, he overachieved.

Billups was regularly under 42% FG. I don't even have to look this up. That's a good shooter? He was horrible. His jumper was on Kidd status...Brevin Knight status... He could bully his way to spots, and was big enough to shoot over people but bricked a lot. Hitting some clutch shots doesn't change dude being at 40% on FGs.

Sheed a superstar? :lolbron::russ: You must be 20 years old B

Sheed was unguardable. Period. Ask KG, Duncan, Webb, Dirk, JO, Reef, Dyess..none of them could guard Sheed, especially on the blocks. That's a superstar in my book. I said in every thread about overrated/underrated that he and Manu are the 2 GOATs-with-the-worst-Stats
