Absolute amateur hour by the Board.

Now you have a full on revolt by the employees with an option to join Microsoft or other competitors as well as Ilya looking like a spineless bytch.

Not only that you install Emmett Shear’s clown ass as interim CEO

The only way this ends positively for everyone is with the Board resigning and Microsoft getting a seat.

Mind you all of this is happening in the middle of a potential secondary equity stake sale at a an $86B valuation so you’re fukking with people’s money

I can see MS trying to get them back at OpenAI with full removal of the board and MS placing their own people on the board. They're gonna end up owning what 49%? I can see that jumping to 51% now in negotiations

OpenAI is finished.

Microsoft essentially captured all of OpenAI's talent for free. Sam Altman and his people have all the compute they need to continue making the advances they made at OpenAI. Microsoft is ultimately the big winner in all this.

I think we can expect the A.I. race to intensify between all the big tech companies. This is a bit problematic because it signals that advanced A.I. will be in the hands of the big tech corporations.
