Because AI has gone too far already and we are literally about to experience a ‘Skynet’ situation in the next 10 years? Or????
The tags are a joke :whoa:.

LLMs are stochastic parrots and aren’t actually capable of genuine thought, but it can mimic it really well. There’s a popular theory called the Infinite Monkey Theorem:
The infinite monkey theorem states that a monkeyhitting keys at random on a typewriter keyboard for an infinite amount of time will almost surely type any given text, including the complete works of William Shakespeare. In fact, the monkey would almost surely type every possible finite text an infinite number of times. The theorem can be generalized to state that any sequence of events which has a non-zero probability of happening will almost certainly eventually occur, given unlimited time.
In this case, ChatGPT is the monkey. It doesn’t actually understand what it’s saying, it’s just statistics and natural language. But not everyone agrees with that notion. I don’t know enough about AI to give an authoritative answer if ChatGPT could ever actually be AGI/Sentient.

Yeah I got rich off NFT's too, bro. :troll:
The fact that you tried to compare NFTs to AI tells me you don't know what you're talking about at all. When Midjourney first came around I contemplated on quitting my partnership because products were selling so fast. All these APIs using AI has also opened up a whole new world.

Honestly, as long as the engineers and researchers are still there then they're going to be fine.

They're the ones doing all the main work and the most valuable assets anyways. Altman may have been the "pushy" one, but those PhD's from Caltech, M.I.T, etc. working there are the ones really understanding and executing. They're the ones making the breakthroughs.
