Bruh, just because the post office is closed doesnt mean the rest of the country is. A federal holiday is just that, a holiday for federal employees. Most 9-5 people working in this country do not get MLK Day, George Washington's Birthday, Veterans Day, or Columbus Day off, all of which are federal holidays. If you work retail you damn near dont get any federal days off.
Everything doesn't close on Christmas, in fact Christmas is one of the busiest days of the year for movie theaters. I see you dropped your case for Easter, a holiday which is not recognized by the federal government and on which just about the only things closed are Chic-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby.
