I don't know if this point has been brought up but everytime someone says he's disrespecting the men and women who died for this country they must be talking about the armed forces. As if they're the only ones to die for it.

What's not being said is he is also paying respect to the men and women who died for this country. The men and women who were enslaved and died trying to attain freedom. We can't forget about the men and women who died during the civil rights movements either.

If they were here today they'd probably swell with pride to see how far their sacrifices have gotten us.

I knew a miltary dude who would always complain to me about wanting a better job so he could leave his girl. I asked him why can't you find a better job? I thought nowadays this country did a better job of looking out for soliders as far as getting them employment when they comeback home.

Dude was basically like all that talk about supporting troops is bullshyt.

Not true. I work with too many veterans who make a shyt ton of money compared to most. They were all put through school through the g.i. bill. The problem is some veterans, like a friend of mine, wants help on his terms and his terms only.

I do agree that the "support the troops" is all rhetoric from the general public.
