These bigots don't even know history. MLK criticized the US government for being involved in Vietnam and its treatment of poor people. Many scholars believe his comments about the US government on those two things led to him being assassinated.

I'm kind of impressed by the NFL's reaction so far. They released that "not required to stand for the anthem" tweet, and Kaep's explanation of his protest is the top story on their front page

You would assume they would attack him or try to bury this, but nothing of that sort so far
