another thought i've had: i really hope people of color are paying attention and taking notes to the difference in reactions to a couple of protests right now....the couple i'm talking about: kaep's and the lgbt protest about the 'bathroom' law in nc....one is getting met with vile criticism, hatred, resistance, etc.; while the other is getting met with compassion, cooperation, business backing, etc...besides the obvious main reason kaep's is getting shytted on cause it's about helping people of color, the most important thing i hope we're paying attention to: money talks...the lgbt community has put their money together and backed people in powerful positions, and those people are getting shyt done for them...seriously, do you think all the powers that be really care about the lgbt community? hell naw, but they do care about money and power....and the lgbt community has shown them that if the powers that be fukk with them, they will affect both of those things....that's something we (blacks) need to pay attention to, take notes on, and start putting into action....
prime example of what i'm talking about: the nba....the same nba a lot of brothas on here been praising about being down for us (which needs to stop), has shown they arent...just look at their actions....donald sterling has been a piece of shyt for a long time...there were plenty of examples he was a racist piece of shyt including the largest housing discrimination settled lawsuit ever....but the league was cool with him...even though top players said something, the punk ass clippers had they bullshyt demonstration, etc.; it wasnt until outside businesses started to threaten the bottom line, that they took action...even then, they sent him off with a $2 billion payoff....now fast forward to recently...the league gave it's employees (wnba players) t-shirts to wear after the orlando shooting and moved the all-star game in support of the lgbt community....while at the same time, the league fined those same employees (wnba players) for wearing shirts supporting blm, and moved the all star game to a state with a recent police killing of a brotha caught on tape....it shows they dont give a fukk about us (blacks) even though we are the main ones making them money....i hope the players are taking notice of that....unlike football, the players in the nba have so much power that they could be using to help initiate change....and i aint talking about just making a speech...
...i apologize, went off on a tangent...the main point i'm making: we gotta start using our money to buy power by buying people in power positions...cause their love for money is greater than their hate for us....
