Reading the reactions to this whole saga on here vs the reactions on white forums (bodybuilding, Reddit) shows you a pretty accurate picture. They have issue with the action but don't care about the motivation.

I saw several dudes on the bodybuilding forum say everyone has been equal since slavery ended and there's no oppression. Another dude said there is oppression... but only if you're a white male.

These are our neighbors and coworkers.

Damn Stephen A basically called all these athletes cowards :whew:

He's an enigma tho. He'll say this today and then next week he'll be right back to tapdancing.

A tap dancer calling out folks who tap dance....:mjlol:

That shyt is like Clarence Thomas calling someone a sell out......:laff::laff::laff:

Kats actually applauding this when we know once the NFL season starts and a black player gets in trouble Steppin A gonna be talking about black on black crime and single mothers.:coffee:

Maybe he actually wants to get cut and go out on his shield.. I support him so far but I don't know what the end game is. 16 weeks is a very long time to be sitting on a bench all alone defying the NFL and most of the nation.

I disagree. It's one time every week for 16 weeks. It's not the NBA where he would have to do it 82x from October-possibly June.

Naw the media folks been watching this shyt and following his Twitter.

Only when he starting not standing they began to push the issue.

Mahmoud Abdul Rauf mentioned that the media began following him more carefully when he became a Muslim. Actually they noticed for awhile that he was not standing for the anthem. But what he was doing was pretending to stretch and or practice shooting.

But one day he just stood there and then the media folks started to go back retroactively and add up all the games he did not stand for the anthem.

Media folks always and I mean always know what these dudes are doing. They hold this shyt in their back pocket until the time is right. Same with teams when they leak info with players when they cut or trade them.

We can also look at Brandon Roy who would stand in the tunnel during the anthem. One writer was keeping this in his back pocket for months. He then wrote an article about it but it never picked up steam. Then months later ESPN.com took that same article and re-released it and it began to pick up steam but that week Tiger had the car wreck and the story was dead.
That was John Canzano. Worst writer I have ever seen.

Yeah but it might as well be everyday of the week. The media isn't going to let up then factor in social media. The outrage will fluctuate but it's not going away. You may see fans acting a fool in the stands trying to protest. Basically a circus.

I won't be surprised if he's deactivated or something like that where he isn't required to be on the bench.. Unless they need him.
