Superman can still be hurt by Kryptonite (and yes, it does hurt him), magic, and people who are just powerful enough to hurt him (such as Darkseid and Doomsday).

Saitama has no limit, no weaknesses, and has never been hurt by anybody. Ever. He wins. I mean his superpower is literally to win all the time regardless of his opponent. The concept of his character precludes him from losing.

The series ain't over yet, the scope of Saitama's power hasn't been fully explored. If he finds opponents that are strong enough to not go down by 1 punch, it will show there is a tangible scope to his power. Not saying he has limits, because he may very well have unlimited potential, but its kind of guesswork to know what Saitama is fully capable of right now. He could very well be beyond Odin and Darkseid for all we know or maybe just strong in a weak universe. But we know Superman has no real tangible limits to his power, so its very possible they are equals.

This might ultimately be the crux of a somewhat downfall in the series, as it doesn't take itself seriously. But add a "Two Punchman" to take Saitama on and it becomes Bleach all over again. Fight fluff till Saitama has to become stronger. I'm sure the geeks will go insane when "Two Punchman" is introduced and a real 1v1 fight happens, but by then I'm sure the narrative would've gotten boring.

how? One has no weakness(shown yet anyway) the other does? how does that make them equal? :mindblown: like someone said before the whole point of the character is basically to be unbeatable to the point it's boring....his only test is to get popular and bag b*tches. Superman does have him beat in that department :yeshrug:

I mean, its a comedy series. By your own admission. If that's the case, they ain't really worried about the depth and logic of the characters and series, its about fun and jokes.

You are answering your own question, we haven't been shown the full extent of Saitama's powers yet. Maybe we will see it, maybe we won't, but if there is a scope of his power range, then we know his power is not limitless, but we know Superman's power is limitless. Superman and his limitless power could "one punch" everything too, if the writers so desired it but in a serious storyline, that doesn't hold much weight. One Punch Man is a comedy, so its not meant to take itself seriously or for its fans to take it so seriously.

We know Superman is limitless, we think Saitama might be as well, but we don't know for sure yet. The fun will be seeing how this ride goes.

Based on shyt they've actually done and not on "Saitama is a gag character" Its

Goku > Superman > Saitama. When the webcomic gives us more saitama shyt then he can move up but rn hes nowhere close to the other two.

I mean, Saitama got his massive strength by doing 100 push ups, 100 sit ups and running 100 miles a day, every day for how many years again? I mean honestly, I'm sure even Krillin trains harder than that. His character is not meant to make sense on the normal scale yet, unless his universe and its threats are just weak in comparison to other universes. Even Mario looks like a world beater when all he fights is goombas.

But styles make fights. like there would be very little Goku could do against a character like Juggernaut or Martian Manhunter, but he'd do great against a Wonder Woman or Green Lantern. His issues against Superman are just because Superman himself is a broken character, which is why he reigns at top.

The only right way to do vs arguments is by what the characters have actually done. Otherwise its a bunch of people with "no limits" and who has more no limits than the other guy.

Based on feats

Goku universal punches and faster than time stops > superman bench pressing the earth for 5 days and all the other crazy shyt hes done > saitama punching back Boros attack that would wipe out the surface of the earth
