I've enjoyed all the Saints Row games but didn't like where the third one went at times. I enjoyed 1 and 2, 3 got a little weird. The plot of 4 sounds awful. I'm not interested in the alien/government, etc. shyt. With that said, I'll probably give the game a shot, they're entertaining.
I think I have broken it down here before, but I figured out what kind of gamer I am. Some people prefer the more serious tone of GTA IV, but to me its such a big world and to have such a serious tone to it kinda gets old after a while.
That's not to say I hate games that are serious and driven by story because I loved Max Payne 3, I like the Splinter Cell series, and I think The Last of Us will be something for me. Whats makes those games similar? Linear...One story focused and thought out over 10-12 hours is what works for me. I don't want to find myself in a situation in where I am trying to save someone's life...then be thrown off and do some little side mission somewhere else you know what I'm saying? The only game that stuck with me from Rockstar that was open world was RDR...I mean that damn game was just...that environment, that bold move by them to take it there :wow2:
I loved Fallout 3 because there was one main objective...save the world. GTA has had its stories chopped up into so many different directions and I never truly felt satisfied...the only one I finished in the franchise was Vice City because it held my interest throughout. I almost finished San Andreas, but got bored towards the end as well.
Saints Row is fukkery at all times...thats what I expect going in and they deliver. This shyt right here man...this is what I am talking about

Wait you people are complaining that a video game is doing what a game is suppose to do(gaming isnt suppose to be realistic)what ever looks fun it'll hold me over until GTA5
dont lie to yourself.
GTA was the better game PERIOD. not because of better graphics. but because of gameplay and the game world you were immersed in. no one does a better job then rockstar of putting you in a time period and location, then making you feel like you're actually there. NO ONE does it better.

I agree with the bolded. It's just my opinion that other things are more important in a game. GTA was the better entertainment experience, saints row was the better GAME.

I loved SR2 and how it ended. Then to play SR3 and see the direction they took it in I wasn't happy. The gameplay was still fun but I enjoyed the random hood shyt. Doesn't seem like its ever going back in that direction.
