Great news, hopefully they drop this in late July/early August when there ain't shyt to play.

How the hell was this announced in late August 2021 and by mid-November 2021 it's delayed till August 2022? They had to have known it wasn't going to be ready when they announced it.
Or they saw the fukkton of GOTY contender games coming out in that release window and lobbied to have it pushed back, plus they get more time to refine it.
This was an excellent move, nobody was gonna play Saints Row when they could have been playing Horizon or Elden Ring instead

The Midnight Suns game just did the same thing. I think they only put those dates in for investors, so they can show them that they have planned revenue coming in by the end fo the annual fiscal year (march) then later on, after some threshold (I’m not sure what it is) they can safely delay it to when it was really supposed to come out.
Both this and midnight suns were announced at the same time too

But delays don't bother me. I want games to be the best they can be and I have PLENTY of other games to play.
They can take all the time they need.
