Not everything that seems like a slippery slope actually is one though. It may simply be Arabs and Muslims are affected. Unlike with Muslims, Trump can be punished in the polls if he viscerally attempts to stymie black people, so there's more risk in his doing that, which presupposes he won't try.
If blacks can get rid of Muslims AND if Trump is too afraid to directly confront blacks through legislation, it's a win-win for blacks. This possibility should not be dismissed because of "slippery slope" concerns which may not ever come to fruition.
