WRONG.

hbo had a series high with 8 mil viewers for this premiere..but The Walking dead still has DOUBLE that amount of viewers

:whew:

GoT is more popular. 8 million viewers is damn near half their subscribers, if they were on 100 million homes they would do like 40 million viewers.

That's cool breh but that's just not something for me. I go for shows, not for networks or anything like that. If mad men went to HBO like weiner originally wanted but the walking dead stayed on AMC, it wouldn't change my opinion of either network. I just really don't give a damn. I think it's good to have consensus of a good show but not a "network" because not everything a network does is going to be perfect and they will stumble at times trying to take risks or trying not to take risks. I just can't get behind putting on a cape for a big corporation. Maybe it's the liberal in me or the rebel but it's just not my style:whoknows: but that's what works for me, which is why I didn't come in this thread to begin with because obviously this debate works for other people so why not let them cook?

Saying one thing is better than the other is caping?! I think it is just calling it as you see it.
If you say you like Mad Men does that mean you like every episode? Probably not. Similar to saying you like what Netflix is doing original content wise doesn't mean you like everything they do or you are 'caping' for them.

I'd rather argue the merits of something from a creative standpoint than a business standpoint breh, that to me is worth debating. Me feeling like...the wire is the greatest show ever and arguing those merits is something that entices and excites me more and i get more out of it from the other side than arguing what network is better. The network isn't the one creating characters, and dialogue, and interactions, and memorable moments; they only supply the money and give the creative types the rope to hang themselves with. I just feel like that's the better discussion and the one that makes the most sense to ME, especially since a diverging opinion may cause me to look at something differently from. If you disagree, cool, like I said, that's why I stayed out of here until someone asked for my opinion and I gave it. I really don't give a damn who's supplying me with my high, just keep supplying it and I'll keep nodding off like a good dope fiend. So again, for me, I get nothing out of it and I'm never going to be a guy who chooses something like that because i like stuff all across the board on different networks.

OK that's fine but an argument about the merit of business choices in choosing creative content does make sense. You just don't enjoy it.

All HBO has for them in GOT and we'll see if True Detective can bring it again for season 2. Veep is great and I love Real Time. Girls brings it down though.

no one is watching Girls, but HBO is forcing it down everyone's throats for politically correct reasons. check out the pitiful ratings that Girls gets.

Netflix won. I'm loving three (Peaky, Marco, DD) of Netflix originals and only one (GOT) for HBO.
