That's one of the reasons Mike Brown was so mad. He mentioned during the press conference after the game, that the team was instructed to foul if a player had their back to the basket (basically foul, but make sure they are not in the act of shooting a 3).
It’s tough with Sabonis because he’s got value offensively but you’re so capped with him defensively because he can’t switch nor defend the rim.
The only way I see it working is if they get a guy like Chet or JJJ to play the 4
They could always call Indy back and inquire about Turner as Indy is going to have some cap issues this upcoming offseason.

They tried that in Indiana and it didn’t work before, I think that if you really want to play Sabonis as a 5 then you gotta have basically JJJ to cover all his weaknesses
It’s so hard to cover a bad defensive center.
JJJ isn’t going to happen and there’s not that many of them around the league, so that’s probably the best option that they’d get. Their options are limited.
It would help if Sabonis could be just average enough not to be a liability on the floor.
In hindsight, they probably should have moved Murray while his value was at his highest had they known that he was going to regress.
