Sacramento Kings 2012-2013 thread!

I'll still root for the Kings, even if they move cuz everybody knows the owners are trying they hardest to move out of Sac town. The only way they won't move is if the league decides to do them like they did the Hornets and take it away from the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumbfukk's hands.

IT is cool, but I don't see him as a starting point. I see him like JJ Barea or Jason Terry. He's perect for the Bobby Jackson role.

Another fellow Kings fan. Shit is depressing right now. My thoughts:

Loved the Thomas Robinson pick. He and Cousons are gonna be a problem!

Marcus Thornton needs to be the 6th man. Not the starting SG.

I agree that not bringing back Donte Greene was dumb. Hope they at least resign Terrence Williams.

They're gonna bid against themselves and overpay Jason Thompson and top it off by signing a free agent who doesn't fit the roster.

I'm cool with Isaiah Thomas being the starting PG. He at least tries on D, more than can be said for others on the roster. He'll just always be hindered by being 5'9"

Too many alpha dogs on the squad. Everyone wants to score. Nobody wants to defend. Squad also is in desperate need of a shotblocker.

No. Petrie is terrible at trading players. He'd trade Reke for cap relief and a pick.

Like I said in my post, Marcus Thornton should not be starting. He's better as the 6th man.

This team won't ever be relevant again until it is not owned by the Maloofs.

They don't play him at the 1 anymore. His jumper is too broke to be a 2. Smart played him at the 3 last season. Statistically it was his best position. He don't wanna play it tho. Nor should he.

So you would keep Reke?

Yes. He's only 22 or 23 for crying out loud. He has to improve on that jumper tho of he'll ever become close to what Kings fans want him to be. He also needs to take more pride in defense. He's a lazy defender. Has all the ability and the make up to be a great defender.

That backcourt would get abused badly. To me the best thing they could do is bring in Illy from the Bucks to play the 3. Dude doesn't need shots, he can hit the three, and he defends first and foremost.

What I would love to see would be:
1. Sign Illy to a 4 year deal
2. Resign TWill to a decent contract
3. Amnesty one of Hayes, Salmons, or Outlaw
4. Get OKC on the phone and figure out a way to pry Ibaka from them.
Thorton + S & T THompson + Future 1sts for S & T Ibaka, I know that shyt will never happen.

Lineup would be:
IT/Jimmer
Reke/Salmons
Illy/TWill
Ibaka/TRob
Cousins/Hayes

That's a good ass lineup. That's young and you're building around Reke/Cousins/TRob/Ibaka.

Man you should see the people on Kingsfans.com and SactownLoyalty, the way the slob over IT, you would think we had the Hall of Famer one on our squad.

Seeing how they shyt on Reke and Thorton gets a pass when he jacks up ill advised shots a lot kinda makes me wanna see Evans go to a team that could develop him and see what he can really do.

Lowry would be cool, but we don't have the pieces to get him. Is he a Free Agent this year or next?

Man I used to post in kingsfan, now I lurk them dudes are clowns half of em just annoy me. The way they play up IT makes me mad as hell. Hes a cat with mad game but hes truthfully a midget at a position where the players are getting bigger. He just won't cut it long term, the quicker people realize that means the quicker Reke can get back to one.

Also Reke is a PG just as much as Westbrook and D Rose are, he just hasn't had the luxury of great coaching and stability to get better since his rookie year. It truly makes me mad as shyt how people downplay Reke like hes some average cat. He can get to the cup at will and if the damn gm would give him some consistent shooters he would putting up ill numbers. The only problem is dude got worse ankles than Steph Curry and he plays so damn physical, if he finally develops that jumper he can ease off some of the physical ness of his offensive game.

Im hoping and praying one day I wake up that I will read that somebody bought this team from these clowns. Until that happens they will not spend money and they will continue to do deals that do nothing for us(aka the yearly deadline deal with Boston for cash). The crazy thing about this squad tho is yes its a mess of 'gunners' trying to play together, a couple of these fools can be packaged for some more team first blend in Battier types.
