Goes to show how stupid the review process is.

Most reviewers scored a version of the game the general public will never see, so how do those reviews help inform the consumer?

I’ve had nothing major in the form of bugs so far, plenty of other games had much more fukkery going on than this game.

Well they reviewed what they had, so you gotta blame it on the devs. What studios should do is provide to reviewers the version that they're ready to release to the public. Giving them a bugged up version that 'supposedly' will be fixed on Day 1 is risky.

I get it, but it’s the culture of reviews that’s the problem. There’s this weird race to get games evaluated and get the reviews posted before the games come out when we all know games will evolve and change over time.

It allows some publishers to hide their games or only present them in the most perfect conditions to their select people, and on the flip side a smaller publisher’s who may not have the money/relationships to get their reviews done in the best way are at a severe disadvantage.

What version of the game are they supposed to review then? A fully patched version in the future that they don't even have? :comeon:
If everyone wasn’t so thirsty for clicks they’d wait to score until they’ve put some significant time into the retail version.

This goes both ways.

Some games get away with hiding a busted retail version cause everyone wanna be first to drop a review.

It shows reviewers are more concerned with generating clicks than actually informing their audience.

For someone who claims not to care about reviews he sure does seem to care about reviews. he’s gonna spend more post lamenting the reviews than playing it lol

Meach victim blaming reviewers due to typical Microsoft incompetence :russ:
Microsoft has nothing to do with this games release

And you will continue stalking my posts cause your console is dry and you wish you could play the game:noah:

You can't blame the reviewers because the version they got is unoptimised. They can only review what they get.

Don’t know if “blame” is the word but if their job is supposedly to inform their audience then what good is reviewing a product the audience will never touch?

Don’t know if “fault” is the right word. But the current review process leads to stupid stuff like this happening.

Seems like the fault of the publisher not reviewers :yeshrug:

reviewers have a job to inform potential buyers on the day of release of their experience with the game. If the game gets fixed after release than there’s no one else to blame
