Ryback addressed often made comparisons between himself and Bill Goldberg during an interview published in the latest issue of WWE Magazine. He said they don't bother him and that "people are misinformed."

"People see a big guy with a shaved head who's intense, and they draw those comparisons," said Ryback. "I will say this: Goldberg did this for the money. He was never a fan of wrestling. I do this because I have a passion for it, and that's the biggest difference between Goldberg and me. I'm not here to make five million dollars and then walk away. I'm here for life. And, I firmly believe that I'm much better than he was in the ring. He was great, and I was a fan of his when I was younger. But, I feel I'm a better athlete and wrestler than Goldberg ever was, and people are going to see that over time."

He has to prove that statement and make it true. He is potentialy better than Goldberg in the ring as a wrestler but Bill was probably a better athlete than Ryback.

I like the confidence, but he still needs to step up big time over the next year, to make the comparison go away tho.

I watched a prime Goldberg effortlessly jackhammer Big Show and have a DAMN good match with DDP, Ryback would do well to avoid/divert Goldberg questions

-P-

Its not even close. Goldberg doesn't get enough credit. He just wanted everything to look real and hard hitting so people shyt on him. Not saying he was a great wrestler but he wasn't awful by any means.

I don't ever remember him botching it up on live television -if he decided a guy was going to get jackahammered, they did.

Goldberg is also far more physically intimidating then Ryback, he just seemed crazy as fukk and he was like 6'5, ryback looks like he is like 5'10 lol.

I always believed Goldberg had a lot of raw potential to be good just from his athletic ability and incorporating some MMA style things in his character. It's just that he got so over with his undefeated streak that he wasn't given the proper time to improve before he got that main event push.
