If they actually won the natty the UM loss is forgiven. That rivalry game sh1t is part marketing, if OSU wins 4 in a row and beats like Oregon and Texas on the way to a natty it's forgiven. I'm not sure what they do if they make the semifinals or natty and lose though.

Yea winning a title is more important than a rivalry game. But, I still have to imagine he's safe if he he wins 3 playoff games.
Rivalry games are still immensely important. Harbaugh was about to get axed in 2020 b/c of his losses to OSU and MSU and then he went on to win a title*
If they make the natty and compete he's probably OK yea, with more pressure next yr.
The "fire Harbaugh" talk pre 2021 was always stupid. Even if he never broke through like the last 3 yrs, 8-4 and 10-2 seasons losing to OSU were a lot better than what came before him.
I'll let y'all get your debate on.. but I'll say this.. it wouldn't surprise me if osu goes on and wins the whole cot damn thing. We're a matchup nightmare for them.. but I can't think of anybody (outside of Texas) that can play tough and boring like we do. I think a Texas-OSU game would be high scoring, and I don't see why the bucks couldn't putt it out.
They're probably as talented as anybody, but winning 3 road games plus the NC will be tough. Oregon or Texas could have a much easier path
The 1st game will most likely be home for OSU unless something big happens during this weekend. The other games are at neutral fields.
