We’ve seen it before with 07 Michigan. That App State loss on a whole different level than a loss to your rival.
Before the 12 team playoffs a loss to Vandy would have completely tanked Bama’s season. And don’t forget they were ranked #1 when it happened.

Which is why he won't be fired anytime soon. But, let's say he gets in and loses in the first round to UGA 35-6...are they keeping him?
Also, even winning the natty would still be tarnished b/c of Saturday's game. That's how rivalry games are, especially in CFB b/c you (generally) get ONE shot at that team the entire year.
