I think it might be two camps with this movie. Some are going to find it too slow before the payoff. Others are going to be enthralled by the character work that it makes the 2nd half more meaningful. (In terms of how good they truly think it is)

For a Ryan Coogler film? It’s par the course.
I wouldn't say the movie itself is disappointed it's still very watchable, it's just that the middle of the act brought the movie down it became very stereotypical.

i really respect coogler because Arizona Mills is the most ghetto theater with such a screen. i saw wonder woman on that screen and it really did add to the experience once the "no man's land" scene kicked in
