Last year, I would have thought he was full of shyt, until I became my own business.

The writeoffs and options available to hard workers are there, you can actually end up paying much less in taxes, all by investing in yourself and your work.

I've also seen the flip side of unions firsthand - they don't always end up working for you, leadership can fukk shyt up very quick, it really does end up being a piece of your check you pay to people that just end up wasting your dues.
I was part of a Union, it could be helpful but there is absolutely a lot of red tape you gotta go through to get shyt done.

I guess from what you say and from what RVD is saying, the biggest thing is to just be educated. If you know what you’re doing you’ll make it out ahead regardless.

So, RVD had valid points about essentially negotiating for what you're worth.

The rest of what he's talking is LLC Twitter babble, including the usual talking down to people with traditional jobs.

Not to mention his analogy with painting isn't quite even, since in that situation, you wouldn't be asking the painter to paint your house exclusively while simultaneously depressing the market so as to make your house the most financially viable option almost by default. Additionally, if you were to disagree over options, you're also not dictating a period of time where they can't go paint your neighbor's house or some shyt. You're ALSO not attempting to control your painter's ability to promote themselves via non painting endeavors.

The reality is that both sides of the argument have merit. The workforce is at its best when people have a multitude of fair options in which to engage.
