Ukrainians agree. They have called on the West to help them deal a shattering blow. “Ukraine can win the next phase of this war with timely and proper Western support,” wrote Nataliya Bugayova in a brief for the Institute for the Study of War, where she is a fellow.

“The outcome of this phase is far from determined,” Bugayova added.
that's why russia sent that note to the US asking them to stop sending weapons because they know the eastern phase is going to be difficult.

Bro how you think Ukraine winning :mjlol:...

They aren't really getting their asses kicked or anything. This is way, way closer than anyone ever predicted. Russia was expecting this to be a few days. Ukraine has pulled them into the mud. Ukraine is definitely outnumbered and outgunned, but they are using guerilla tactics, psychological warfare, hardware sent from the west, and exploiting chinks in the armor of Russia's logistical problems, lack of air superiority, uncoordinated battle plans, less will to fight among conscripts, etc.

In some ways Russia has already lost. Russia not winning is a loss for Russia in the long run. One way or the other, Ukraine at this point will never be conquered and have a puppet government installed. Ain't gonna happen. If Russia stopped the war right now they'd still face political and economic consequences for years.

lemme put it like this, the two largest militaries in Europe are Russia and Ukraine.
Everyone thought that Russia was the Super Heavyweight champion of Europe.
Ukraine was considered a washed up Middleweight, not even in contention.
Russia went in dropping haymakers and everyone was predicting a first round knockout but Ukraine had footwork and was controlling the ring.
Everyone just shut up and watched because it turns out that this Middleweight had been training for this fight for almost a decade on the low low and had the best coaches on Earth.
Then you have the Heavyweight going into round two looking like he's gonna pass out and the Middleweight smells blood in the water...literally.
Now Ukraine ain't dancing around, nope...*body blow, body blow, body, blow*....*flex*...*upercut*

and the world is stunned.

if you don't see that this war is an inflection point in history then you are blind.
Ukraine is winning and it's fukking incredible.
