is that just because they're old or there just not taking care of their equipment?
they have to be maintained pretty regularly. if they arent properly maintained that doesn’t necessarily just mean they will fail though. they could fail but in general they will be much more unpredictable which is pretty spooky

They need regular maintenance for sure. It doesn’t mean they are harmless by any means, but it means more would be likely to not detonate, not reach their target, etc.
