Russia going into this war reminds me of the British Army before the 1st World War. High on its own image built on harder-than-they-should've-been victories against antiquated armies - that shock when they realise they don't have a weapons gap advantage over any sort of real armed force and all you can do is throw more money and lives into the meat grinder.
