Logistically, the redeployment effort to focus forces in the east even with a competent and well supplied logistic corp would take a couple months because they don't control many key routes back to their staging bases on the Belarus and Russian borders.

Everyone knows their battle plan and it seems foolish to concentrate that many of their troops in tight pockets in the eastern region because they'd be highly susceptible to air strikes and shelling.
