Question: If the US brought war to Russia's doorstep then where exactly where all of the machines of war when Russia invaded? Where was the air defence? Where were the Western tanks when Russia invaded? Where where the HIMARS when Russia invaded?

That's right, are you putting it together now? Most western nations were kicking and screaming at the idea of giving tanks to Ukraine until reality finally set in a fukking year into the invasion. Does that sound like war being brought to Russia's doorstep?
