they want to weaken the US in the short term so they can take Taiwan

If there's the slightest truth to them wanting to supply Russia, it's hard for me to read it any other way. And what's happening now isn't going to weaken America enough to make a difference, so it would only work if they're planning to arm Russia enough to allow significant escalation.

Would they make any money off that though? What can they possible do, an arms for energy type of deal? Theres not much areas the Russians can teach the Chinese anything they dont already know. I just feel like China is using Russia as a buffer against Europe but Europe isnt even antagonistic towards China outside of Britain. And if its just ammo theyre gonna supply.... The Russians could probably get that from Iran/North Korea like they already have been, I feel Putin is too proud to ask Xi for weapons outright. It would be an even further blow to his prestige

But the USA isn't getting bloody or exhausted. It's just using up some military hardware. Are they hoping for Russia to take Ukraine and then put more permanent pressure on NATO?

We're in the early stages of a new cold war with China. And just like the first time, we'll follow each other around the world and do battle by proxy.

My guess is that China probably has some economic interests in mind. Maybe wanting to increase oil imports from Russia? Maybe at a lower price? Wanting to diversify their sources so they're not at the mercy of the Saudis?

Maybe they think it might give them influence in the situation w/o any real investment or danger? If they're able to broker some type of agreement it would give them a lot of intl prestige and embarrass the US. They're going to say some version of " the US used bombs without success. We used diplomacy and now we have peace".

China isn't afraid of western backlash, but I don't think they have an appetite for it right now.

Nah, that type of strategy is the Russians not the Chinese. Bum ass Russia cant even get their economy right but they were just in Latin America trying to shore up allies this week. China isnt the type to fund coups and destabilize countries through military technical means, at least not yet. This new Cold War will be different.

The way I see it Cold War 2 is really a multipolar cold war at different temperatures. Russia is gonna be the hottest one for the forseeable future cause they have embarked on this path where they cant turn back now, they cant go back to how it was so they're all but destined to try and take over the former Soviet sphere. Iran also has the possibility of turning VERY hot depending on what Israel does this year with Tehran almost reaching the nuke. North Korea will continue to do what it does best, threats and missile tests, maybe a skirmish in the waters with the South.

China is a slow burn. The only flash points possible are Taiwan or the South China Sea, but they saw how the last Cold War ended. They are more than content to try and bleed us out through other means. In fact, I feel like they are gonna wait til the Ukraine war gets too costly for Europe and then they will fully announce support for Russia after some false flag (possibly in Belarus) becomes the cassus belli for the autocrat nations to rally around supporting this bullshyt war. The want to do to us what we are doing to Russia. Weaken without directly fighting.

Russian stooges about to get run out of Georgia

Anywhere you go in the world, people hate fascist and the the cops who enable them via suppression and abuse of power. Shout out to these brave people fighting back against Russian influence in their government. They are fighting to become EU members when the UK willingly shyt the bed and got out of it. This is a fascinating point in time if you are paying attention.

Can't front, this would've made a hard body GI Joe vehicle for Cobra. Put a helipad on the last car... :banderas:

Yeah, this is the end game and not enough people are recognizing it for what it is because to do so leads to a myriad of possibilities that no one has the time or energy to prepare for. Giving Putin an off ramp just means maintaining the status quo. As unappealing as that may sound to some it is easier to swallow than the unknown.

To that I say

This is a unicorn like opportunity that historians of every stripe jerk off thinking about. The US and Russia have been fukking with each other via proxy wars since after WW2 non stop. To some degree Russian aid to forces opposing the occupations helped get US soldiers and contractors murked in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nowhere near to the degree that US aid is doing in Russia right now to be clear, I just wanted to put a little garnishing on this dish.

Back to my point, Biden is not fukking around. I knew this was going to go all the way when Russia got kicked out of the SWIFT banking system. Blowing up Nord Stream 1 and 2 was the icing on the cake. Russia is persona non grata and there is no coming back. These two actions were nails in a coffin. How many more nails will it take? What are they going to be? I don't know, but what I do know is that there will be more and they won't stop coming until this gas station with nukes is dealt with once and for all. Check the pulse to make sure it's dead and then shoot it in the head. Empty it's pockets, take some pics of the corpse, drive it around on top of your whip and, move into it's crib and redecorate.

This is the only way this ends.

On yall topic about China. I just think with Trump in the office many countries such as Russia/China/N.K really thought America was declining completely. Russia really overstepped their hand expecting America not to react to their invasion with Ukraine. Joe Biden could have potentially saved America this term seriously. China appears to back down and making empty threats, Russia is in a war with no way to back out until Putin goes to the afterlife.

China is empty threats and can't go to war. There domestic issues is going to get worst and CCP have to be careful on how to move in the next couple of years.
