In practice Russia doesn't seem to be able to or have really struggled with it. I'm sure you've seen videos of their failed river crossings earlier in the year. idk if it's maintenance issues, training issues, a mix of both...
Russia can't do combined arms because their communication and istar are like 60 years behind so everything they try do is just f'd
in a non-combat situation with lots of prep I'm sure they could lol this isn't anything special or new lol so I guess they answer is yes*
I think they would suffer an 80% casualty rate before they got to the other side of any body of water...under practice conditions.
