i think the NVA had some decent artillery, ground support from the air was probably last effective in ww2

i should have said close air support

well i disagree with you.
U.S. troops rarely if ever move without air dominance, the U.S. could not have rocked in Afghanistan for 20 years if not for close air support ready at the drop of a hat.

no, i meant close air support against americans was probably last effective in ww2, and artillery in vietnam. that was the answer to the question
