1. Someone very close to the President will turn on him (if this hasn't already happened)
2. The President's attempt to obstruct the investigation will eventually be much more blatant and indefensible than what he did to Comey. Mark my words, there will come a time when the administration will OPENLY and UNAPOLOGETICALLY refuse to turn over document(s) or other records (hard copy/digital/electronic) to the Special Counsel or one of the concurrent House/Senate investigations. He will do so to try and delay the process (additional legal processes will be required to compel his cooperation), but before the courts rule on it, the GOP will fully turn on him and he will resign.
I'm much more interested in seeing how they will deal with Trump. Ford pardoned Nixon to "save the country from" the spectacle of a criminal trial of the former President, but it also killed his chances of re-election. Our system does a terrible job of punishing people in high places, no matter how egregious their conduct - but then again we may be breaking new ground.

I think we have to play this like Jimmy and them did on The Wire...yeah they caught a few low level players in the first season but they didn't get to Avon until they finally got the Smoking Gun on him and the whole Crew would be Busted up,it'll take some time for the Intelligence to turn into Evidence and for Flynn(and maybe a few others) to go DAngelo & Bodie for the Feds to really Bust Team Trump
