The Flynn thing is two stories actually:

A. The White House knew about flynns investigation way before Yates or anyone told McGahn, thus showing they covered up his ties to foreign governments knowingly
B. Flynn thwarted Pentagon plans because he was paid by Turkey as a lobbyist
