A plea deal is different than an agreement to testify right? I thought he was pleading guilty to his unregistered foreign lobbyist charges,, but maybe he's testifying against others? I doubt anyone knows for certain

A plea deal can be an agreement to plead guilty to a charge and testify and/or cooperate with an ongoing investigation in exchange for a lesser criminal penalty such as immunity or reduced criminal charges.

This plea deal deal, Manafort agreed to cooperate with the Mueller probe. With a plain meaning of cooperation, which seems broad (i.e. provide information to Mueller about the russian interference and the Trump campaign and/or if need be to testify to indict or convict the guilty parties)
