That was a serious miscalculation on their part.
Trump wants all the attention. If he had banned all media but fox and breibart from the White House, he would not have been able to stand it. Then the media would have been in a good position to negoatiate terms of engagement.

People keep operating out of fear instead of standing up to his bully tactics.

The press usually stands in solidarity when the White House tries to restrict access anyway. They did it with Obama. American media dropped the ball.
You're right :francis:

It's not a two way street. The president and his crew of flunkies do not have nearly as much incentive to work with the media as the media has to work with him. They need him. He just needs Twitter to set all the narratives he wants. So SHS can treat them however she pleases and she knows they aren't going to take their ball and go home. And even if they do, Trump and SHS will just view that as a win

What happened to the American media? Twenty years ago she would have been called a liar to her face and mediahouses would band together and apply pressure until this White House relented.

What happened to the backbone the American media had?
That would have never happened.

Twitter is his weapon and should be clipped. Imagine the rage. But we wouldn't be able to see it. :dead:

They caught up in this weird thing where they like all the shyt he does as far as giving them a treasure trove of stories every single minute of every single day and not challenging their bytch asses constantly..

My opinion.

What's funny about messaging apps, that offer security, is that if you are using it from a phone in your name, it really doesn't shield much. A lot of people think they are "outsmarting" the federal government, I've known guys that take to Signal or whatever to coordinate something as benign as a QP weed drop out of state, as if

1) Anyone gives a fukk

2) If surveillance was up on you, they wouldn't be able to catch it.

3) The phone is in YOUR NAME

I assume they can, if they want to spend the time and money, check which apps you have downloaded, and subpoena the company to provide the info, and probably intercept the messages in real time.

If you are using an Iphone and backing it up on cloud, like Manafort, I think those messages would transfer.

When almost every single person in the country has already made up their minds and either love or hate the president, and the president has platforms that exist completely outside traditional media as his primary way of reaching those who love him, they literally have no use for the media. All other presidents, in some way, "needed" the media to win PR battles and be seen favorably. Trump will never win over liberals, and will never lose his base, no matter what. There is no PR battle happening. It's over. When they report on him negatively, he calls them fake news and his base buys right in. All he needs to do is message to his base through Twitter.

And most of the major outlets are so concerned with appearing "fair and balanced" they're never going to go after him hard anyway, no matter how badly SHS treats them. It's pointless and they have no incentive to treat the media with any kind of respect.

The funny thing about Papa's wife is that Trump's signaling through pardons has worked. She's begging for a pardon, and since Trump has gone out of his way to pardon people who have committed similar crimes as his co-conspirators, they know he's open for business. It's a fukking joke

Trump Administration Sidelines Effort to Appoint Justice Department No. 3
Early potential candidates said they weren’t interested in the position, which would oversee the Mueller probe if Rod Rosenstein were to depart
The Trump administration has put its search for the Justice Department’s No. 3 official on the back burner after failing to persuade several early candidates to take the challenging position, according to people familiar with the matter.

The delay in filling the post is the latest sign of the difficulties besetting the agency, which lacks permanent, politically appointed leaders to oversee at least five high-profile units, including the criminal, civil and tax divisions.

Without any immediate candidate ready to sign onto the job of associate attorney general, the administration is instead focusing on other vacancies. Department officials say the delays have strained resources and limited the agency’s ability to fully enact and implement new policies.
