this is perfect fr the steelers, its only a one year deal so if pickett shows some promise then great, if russ sucks no long term money signed.
even a washed russ is better than any steelers qb off the past 2 years
2023 steelers had 13 passing tds and 9 ints from 3 different qbs combined
2022 steelers had 12 passing tds and 14 ints from 2 different qbs combined
russell wilson had 26 tds and 8 ints in 15 games this year
yes russell wilson had more passing tds this past season missing two games than the steelers have had the past two years combined

It doesn't work like that. If Russ does well but misses games you can't go back to Kenny and have him stink. Can't have part of the fanbase wanting the backup to start and in Pittsburgh that will happen
. Trade Pickett and draft a QB somewhere in the later rounds.
If they move Diontae package those picks to move up and get Penix. Russ will be a great mentor for him.
