Even if it's all pr stunt, at least it made that dying girl happy:mjcry:

A lot of these foundations and charities are for tax purposes, but at least they end up helping people:manny:

My momma, whos been a die hard hawks fan since 1985, paased away of cancer yesterday.

When i came across this thread, seeing this story for the first time, is bringing tears to my eyes.

I'm sorry man, I hate to be that guy but Russ is a gatdamn try hard who loves the attention:stopitslime:

Not to make light of a child dying from cancer (that is sad and unfortunate)

But yall nikkaz gotta see through the bullshyt :camby:

To what end?

You'd have me believe he's out here smiling and kissing babies purely for the publicity... but why, and how does it affect me either way?

You wanna think the world is devoid of compassion, go for it. I'm going to choose to believe that there are people in the world who are selfless, and that Russ is one of them.

fukk the Seahawks tho :birdman:

I'm just a realest that doesn't take everything these celebrities/athletes say at face value :manny:

This dude goes to the Children's Hospital like damn near once a week. Been doing it for years.

:dead:

You think he's faking for that long? Or just mad because you can't see yourself being that selfless for that long?

exactly this. i said the same thing in the lebron thread where he was helping grown folk try to get an education they missed out on where people were questioning his motives (i think it was ronnie lott also in that thread). while there is nothing that says wilson is anything but genuine, even if he was just doing it for image purposes he made a child with terminal cancer smile who knows how many times. thats the bottom line. i dont even think i could be around that environment, just hits too hard. yet hes there every week, and has been doing it for years on end. if wilson is making kids with cancer smile and be happy by sacrificing his own time to try to bring them joy, or if lebron james sacrificing his time/money to help kids or adults receive that education they might otherwise miss out on etc i couldnt care less what their ulterior motives, if they even have any. its helping people, and at the end of the day thats all that should matter
