The DA only moves forward based on political pressure or likelyhood of conviction

if you can prove it, PROVE it.
But saying "well he raped me 30 years ago but we can't do anything about it..." doesn't seem like a strong system.
Granted, proving it decades later is harder, but having a hard legal cut off doesnt sit well with me
