Digging a bit deeper in my unease, I think besides not finding Epps funny, the casting of Meagan Good in Minority Report is what I find really bad because:

1. She can't act

2. She's already flopped in a show as a cop, and nikkas didn't watch it. White people didn't watch it. Nobody watched it.

3. I think White people (casting, execs etc.) think because she's popular amongst us (for her looks), that we'll watch it, when we probably won't - she's a glorified video girl to me.

Like you say, it's a good start, but we're gonna have to get past this stage of "throw some nikkas in/on it and hopefully they'll watch it" before we get to the right place.

:yeshrug:

I wasn't even gonna watch any of these shows anyway, except maybe this.

Overall, this Pilot season is shaping up to be horrible.

Is he fluent in Chinese?

He's also half white. Looks like we're off to a bad start. :mjcry:

Would have been cool if they could pull Nicholas Tse but dude busy as fukk being a CEO and doing those HK wuxia tv series.

Nic would've been the perfect choice since he's fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and he has tons of experience doing action/comedy. But he said that he fukked up his knees and his back doing all those action movies, so he tries to avoid action roles as much as he can now :mjcry:

He did. I'm sure they'll find someone else but he would've been perfect

What if they cast Nick Cannon :mjlol:

Brandon T.Jackson wouldn't be a bad choice though

Brandon T. Jackson was in the beverly hills cop pilot so that'd be cool. No Nick Cannon:russ:

Actor Justin Hires has been cast in the Chris Tucker role in CBS’ drama pilot adaptation of the “Rush Hour” film franchise.

Hires had a small part in 2012’s “21 Jump Street” and more recently has made appearances on Comedy Central’s “Key and Peele.” In the Warner Bros. TV pilot he’ll play a cocky, maverick LAPD detective who is assigned to work on a case with a stoic detective from Hong Kong. Jon Foo has already been cast in the role played by Jackie Chan opposite comedian Tucker in three “Rush Hour” features.

Comedy scribes Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick penned the script for the TV redo and are exec producing with the director and producer of New Line Cinema’s “Rush Hour” pics — Brett Ratner and Arthur Sarkissian — and Jeff Ingold of Lawrence’s Doozier Prods. Jon Turteltaub is directing the pilot and also exec producing.

Hires got his start out of college as an on-air personality for the MTVU cabler. He’s also produced sketch comedy videos for various YouTube outlets.

Hires is repped by Sherry Marsh of Marsh Entertainment and Mark Scroggs of DSA
