They thought not getting any type of PF was smart & really thought Celeb Marth & Highsmith at PF like yea that works
Then having to go on the scrap heap during the trade deadline/buyout market to get some size
Eh Yurtseven . That man looked slooooooooooow in the preseason and trying to pair him with Bam was tough to watch. The minutes they’ve given him this season after coming back from injury have been bad. He’s been Duncan level bad as far as fouls per second on the court
We barely got to see Jovic. Even when he was healthy we barely saw him as Highsmith took most his minutes. We don’t even have any exciting prospects here that you can hope they can develop into something special. Most of these guys have very obvious ceilings. The games are boring. No high fliers on the team. No fast breaks. No alleys. Struggling to score 90 a game. No real 3 point shooters. No one can get a basket on his own without a screen outside of Jimmy. No one looks for Bam. Just boring.
If you fix the PF position that’s a good start. But even then we still need to figure out the PG situation and honestly you can’t rely on that bench either. This season has been a waste. Most of these guys are less talented less athletic undersized. We never have any clear advantages against any teams we face. Eh I’m done with this season. Sure maybe we make a little run somehow but what would be the point. Just move down lower in the draft to select a project who can’t shoot but plays great defense or a guy who can shoot but refuses to play defense.

Bam needs to be a damm PF which is more his natural position then playing a college basketball center
At some point if this team is going to play legit big & no more playing college basketball small ball Bam & whatever legit talented big they put next to him is going to have to figure it out playing together.
Lowry has been a complete waste but we gave Jimmy what he wanted

Speaking of Spo, I think Heat fans kind of take him for granted and just assume he'll always be in the fold no matter what direction the front office decides to take the roster in...I wouldn't be at all surprised if at some point he pulled a Brad Stevens and took a step back from the grind as a coach to join the front office. Just me thinking out out loud.
