Last time Jimmy played a full season,
he was one of major components that helped lead his team to a 13-3 season,
Undefeated in Playoffs,
and then to the Superbowl.

ELITE so called TOP 5 QB Philip Rivers only been to the playoffs like 3 times in his 18 year career and never past the first round.

Youre not going to restore 2013. Youre not going to bring back 2013 LOB. Defense is more than likely not going to be that dominant again. And Seattle has neve had an exotic run scheme either. Youve never had a sf/bal/even a no run game. YOu just had an extremely dominant rb, one of the best of his generation.

You cant say what Russ is capable of because Russ has never had a creative offense. What Russ has shown is the ability to create is spite of being in boring ass offenses. Usually where he is asked to bail out bad gameplans and bad coaches in the 4th quarters and end of games. Games that shouldnt have to be close. And this team isnt built to do these things. You dont have the rbs. you dont have the oline. and you have one of the best wr duos in the league. what you need to do is develop a good short passing game. Im not saying you abandon the run. but youre not going to tun into cleveland or tennessee which is what pete thinks is going to happen. he admitted he sabotaged the offense this year and wants to keep games close

You guys won't ever win anything without a defense. Thats just the truth. Russ main strengths are slinging it from outside the pocket when plays break down and deep ball passing. Not easy to design a real offense around that skilset, especially when your d is trash and you're forced to pass. When you have a constant heavy run threat, teams have to respect it and your defencies in oline show up. Just ask the Niners, McGlinchey was always a weak ass tackle in pass pro but he didn't look really bad until we were forced to pass in predictable situations.

I understand that. Russ was carrying them early when they were the worst defense in the league. The issue is that Russ has always been w/ Pete and has always in an archaic traditional run run pass punt offense. I agree they need to run more, but Pete has always run uncreative schemes that are easy for defenses for figure out both in the run and pass game. Pete has said in pressers that he hates the short pass game. He likes a physical run game(that is always uncreative) and deep bombs. He has never used anything creative underneath. I fear it doesn't matter who they bring in at OC because Seattle is going to run a old ass offense and treat him like a game manager.

Russ is great outside the pocket and when the play breaks down because nothing is ever designed properly in this offense. I'm not opposed to a run heavy scheme but there are many creative run attacks in the league. Even when seattle was leading the league in rushing it was Marshawn. They were never a creative rushing attack.
