I think I told this story on here before. The Isleys used to hang with Wilson Pickett back in the day who was a certified goon. They went on a hunting trip once and the Isleys got hungry. Pickett refused to leave becuz he hadn’t killed anything yet so the Isleys left him out there and headed back to the lodge. Pickett was so pissed off they left him that when he got back he grabbed his pistol and fired shots thru the door of the room one of them was staying in

Parliment was still under contract with Mo-Town and couldnt technically make music. So Funkadelic had Parliment in it until the contract freed up.
