Porter ain't really look shaken to me. Looked like he took a good shot and still felt it while walking into his corner while getting pushed. :manny:

Cotto's older brother had Canelo looking more hurt than that.

Check out 1:07-1:24 for another instance where Porter was visibly hurt. Had him shuffling again to the corner

Ok I checked that part out, yeah he really looked buzzed on that one. He definitely looked a lil hurt during that moment.

I'll give you that one, but the earlier one was just a good shot having it's effect felt.

Porter's chin definitely checks out as being good though. He catches punches clean and that Brook uppercut was the most I've seen him hurt. Bone (last guy he fought) and Julio Diaz landed some good bombs too and Shawn ate those.

shawns feet aren't fast enough to fight the way he does

I kinda agree with this. They're not Matthysse slow, but their not Hatton fast either.

It's like he falls somewhere in the middle. His biggest problem to me seems to be distance and getting the proper leverage on his punches.

Yup. And the fact he comes barreling in head first with very little head movement. One Time will make him pay for that

with how badly thurman handled pressure from robert guererro, I don't think him beating porter is a sure thing here. dude was getting bullied by guerrero and showed serious fatigue....if that fight was 15 rounds i'm not so sure thurman survives. porter's best bet is to make this shyt dirty and physical. I could see thurman breaking down.

I like Porter but he's only good at attacking. He's a pressure fighter that doesn't adjust his approach

He looked horrible against brook

Thurman is a way smarter fighter and by the looks of his last fight He can also brawl toe to toe if he wants to.

Why does everyone discount that massive contusion on Thurman's dome when talking about how he dealt with Guerrero's pressure? And even with that he pretty much dominated Guerrero for the majority of the fight.

probably because he looked spectacular all the way up until the pressure took place...even with the fukked eye. that eye is not what made his technique and form go to shyt. he knocked robert down. robert got back up and started bum rushing him. it was that moment where keith lost his stamina, forgot his game plan, and started throwing wild looping punches. I can't put that on the eye. if their was a drop off in performance before robert put the pressure on I could understand, but keith looked perfect. we just gotta admit thurman has problems with pressure. it's plain as day. when he's allowed to box he looks incredible but you pressure him and take him out of his comfort zone he has issues. If he can work on that, he has potential to be the best in the world. floyd has issues with pressure too....just look at the castillo and maidana fights. I mean he'd never have issues with basic ass robert guererro type pressure, but nonetheless....he can have problems.

plenty of great boxers had problems with pressure. one of my favorite fighters of all time winky wright was the same. it's why he lost to harry simon. if you smother these guys and you have a great workrate, they can be vulnerable. it's real easy to fall into the trap and just lay there on ropes like keith did...evading pressure is no joke. people think floyd doesn't get tired in the ring....bullshyt....in that 12th round floyd is exhausted out of his mind....knees and feet probably killin him. difference is he has a mental strength most fighter's don't. why do you think his legs are damn near gone now....he been movin his whole career. that shyt takes a toll on the body. so many dope boxers have issues with pressure, and right now keith is no different. If he doesn't address this, he's eventually gonna get exposed. I don't know if shawn porter is the guy who can do it, but it wouldn't shock me. If shawn doesn't get his chin cracked early, I could see him giving keith hell in the later rounds.
